I have a 2009 Nissan Rogue. I was recently at a concert, and while inside the concert someone must have been pushed into the back of my car. I didnt realize the dent until the next morning, but there is a 7x4inch dent in the steel panel on the back of my car. It is along the trim line (I think that's what it's called) and has a 1/4inch crease line along the bottom of the dent (pictured below..the only crease line). A knowledgable car friend said he thought it could be taken out with paintless dent repair. I took the car to a local body shop and they said they could do the paintless dent repair for around $200, but wouldnt reccomend it. He wanted to fix the dent another way, fix/paint the whole rear of the car for about $650. I want to pay $0 to fix this dent, since none of it was my fault. I also don't need my car to be fixed perfectly, I just want the dent out and want it to look presentable. Thoughts on if this dent can be taken out with paintless dent remolve/price.

Indeed, pictures would help us think of a solution for your problem.

If the dent isn't creased in any way, you may be able to pop it out with a normal paintless dent puller, or maybe remove interior panel n see if you can push it out from the inside (not sure if this would work as I don't own a Rogue).

To post pictures, you need to upload to photo bucket then copy n paste the image code in your post where you want the picture to show up n press submit.

Remove the inside panel and punch it with a rubber mallet (or your fist).

I'm not sure how it'll pan out trying it this way considering the damage, but its worth a shot!!

By the way, PANRogueOwner83 Welcome to NICO!!!

+1
I'd definitely try to pop that bad larry out myself first. Either go from the inside, or use a plunger type thing on the outside.

if you are not comfortable with taking the lift gate apart,
1. heat up the dented area with a hair drier.
2. warm it up really-really well.
3. take a can of pressurized air, and flip it upside down.
4. spray the cold onto the dent

I know that usually works with small dents.
