I bent up the valves and dented the pistons in my KA24E about 2 months ago and just acquired a used head from a friend for my engine. There is a dent where it seemed to be hit by a hammer or something on the head where the valve cover bolts on.

My question is...since the dent isnt near the edge, would it be possible to just flatten it out and throw the valve cover on or should i just forget about the head and go grab one from the junkyard like i was gonna do?

Give us a pic.We can't tell you yes or no without seeing it.If you are questioning it then it is probably best to get one unhammered.
