How many miles are on your QX4? Chances are the wires are fine. Put some NGK iridium plugs (most efficient) in using the toolkit under the rear seat and you should be all set.

no no, fueler, you dont get it...my buddies a mechanic.....if a plug breaks or something....hes there! he knows his stuff (well maybe. hes a ford mechanic) I offered him a case of beer and i wanna pay him too. I sorta want to see it done and help him. I changed plugs before...on an acura integra. LOL this one looks like we gotta take the throttle body n stuff off. Anyways..we all had this convo already. i trust his work more than mine, and next time i will do it myself. i like to see it done first. its my baby i want everything done right! LOL

alright guys ill order them next week, thanks!

i think thats the brand canadian tire sells too lol

Plugs are due every 60,000 miles and I'd say change your wires the second time you change your plugs. But I know how you like your truck - brand new 10 years after it rolled out of the factory!

its good to learn alongside someone who knows. You wont have to remove any throttle body. A step ladder will help you get up on top of your engine.... t he first 5 plugs are as easy as an integra and plug #6 is a matter of laying on the engine and reaching way down in the back ive got 150k miles (240,000km) on the stock plug wires and they still work great

NGK anything is good - there's been rumors of Pathy owners having trouble with Denso plugs and breaking them off when it comes time to change them.

I agree to stick with NGK. I tried bosch plugs in both my Japanese cars and they eventually had problems in both. Then i learned that you should stick with Japanese plugs in Japanese cars. Dude you dont have to skip on the wires just cause I got stock wires with a lot of miles on them. Im just a cheap *** who lives by the motto "if it aint broke, dont fix it"

If it's an '01 with coils (3.5 engine), then you don't have wires.Have fun.
