from NGK:"Adjusting the gap on fine wire plugs can be done. The reason there aremany cautions not to adjust the gap is because if you were to use a coinstyle gap tool or some other device that would pry or put pressureagainst the center firing electrode, it is easy to snap off the centerelectrode and damage the spark plug. I suggest if you are to attempt toadjust these plugs, use a wire style gap tool or one that has a groundelectrode attachment. This will grab onto the ground electrode allowingyou to change the gap without coming into contact with the center firingelectrode. "
