i bought densos for my redtop.i bought the plugs at autozone,for a 91 ser...thats what i heard fits.theyre ik20 plugs..my question is..are these right..cause i read somewhere that ik16 is the proper plug for a sr..a colder plug im guessing..i tried to get an inspection the other day..and it was through the roof..like double the legal limits..here in ny..so im wondering if the plugs are whats makin me run so rich..the hydrocarbons and the o2 were ridiculously high...someone please help....any input is appreciated.

what?..no one has these plugs?..so what plugs do u guys suggest then?

Denso's are good plugs, but pricey. I swear by them for the Toyotas I service (but they're oem plugs). Tomei uses them in their Derive and Genesis engines, but I personally don't. A local guy had the ceramic section of his densos shatter inside his s14 sr and the hardened iridium tip scored his cylinder walls. That's why he doesn't use them. I use NGK since that's the brand I see Nismo using.

After a lot of different plugs I have settled with the NGK. The SR seems to love them
