Hi Dennis,

I noticed you mention you have 254k on your Q now, an amazing feat. I was just wondering how much longer you were planning on keeping your Q. I'm thinking about getting another 90-93 and using my car for parts or getting a 94-95 and giving good deals to members on my old stuff.

Nick :)

The rougher the exterior the better I like it, finally vacuumed the front area after 6 months maybe I'll get the carpets steam cleaned, have brand new gray oem mats sitting idle for a year. Almost time to take the Q mountain climbing since the new diff has a perfect LSD.

Had the 16" wheels a month now and haven't gotten the two slightly bent ones to the repairer yet as I have at least 12,000 miles on the 15" Pilot H4 remaining. Time to start thinking about Spring 2004 tires.

But I did replace both rear calipers and the drivers front caliper [original] and front shocks and the transmission mount, almost time for plugs @54,000 [3 years on the old ones]. Needs O2 sensors [after 120k] and will need new front rotors and one rear [as the caliper stuck and warped a brand new one].

Who has time to keep it pretty with all the maintenance and repairs. All the things I changed at 100- 120-140k are failing/wearing again. The 2.5 year old front windshield has 2 rock chips now........another $300.

But it only cost $250 per month to keep rolling on average, even my family is starting to say when are you getting a 95Q at least.....maybe in 2005 when the 90 has 285k or so.........or when ever it starts smoking.

Seen a gray 90 with 94 polished wheels [235/15 tires] and a scraped bumper and crowfoot paint, door dings and you seen mine..........the paint is the issue as the interior is good except for some minor cracking on drivers seat [no holes yet but soon] and sun fade of leather [gray] color. Some sweat fade of steering wheel leather and control levers.............just exchanged the drivers door arm rest no cracking on center fold down arm rest. All interior items work as the visors, mirror, glove box, ashtray, radio, have been replaced. Sagged dash pad and head liner [most wouldn't notice].

Picture without words is the easy way out.

Luckily I only weigh 160 pounds so the seat damage was less severe.

I think I'm keeping mine until at least next summer if it lasts. Then I want to get a 94 or a 95 but we'll see. If I can find somewhere to store my car to use it for parts then I may go the 90-93 route. I want one with around 100k on it, figure I can drive it till 150k (right out of law school), then park it, buy a G and when I have the money fully restore the Q.

Nick :)
