.... It's on E-Bay and the owner says a dealership purchased it from T-3. The thing is, no mention of the chain guides and he says it's the original transmission. At 170000 K, I like it but seems like to many factors against buying it.

Read the ad again it says was purchased from a dealer and T3 serviced it later.

Unethical [and illegal] to give out customer information.

If you can get the owner to sign a release and or deliver it to us for a 3rd party inspection [paid by someone] we would be happy to assist you.

Not sure what could be repaired on sunroof for only $250 but I did see a used assembly [from a wreck] sitting around waiting for somebody? 4 hours x $75 =$300 plus parts

Just remember even a well maintained old Q will need significant rehab always save out $3,000 to fix things average owners may have deferred.

A 170k transmission even with perfect maintenance may be 90% used up so reserve another $3,000 just in case it lets go within a year or two.

$2000 with the opportunity to spend another $6-8,000 soon seems a fair deal if you like wood grain.

I'm not beeing specific as I don't know the car just generic about all 90Q.
