Friend has 92 Q 45 and shut down on him and now it will not start! I worked on it a couple of hours one day to no avail. and a couple of more hours another day! Ecu flashed code 21 during one check and 34 flashed on both checks! I could list what I tried but, you name it I tried it. I'm pretty good with the wrenches but. I'm stuck! Since I tried so many things it will take too long to list! I think at this point it may have jumped time but, the chains are not broken and it's getting fuel. Give me next steps to check. I've OHM and replaced quite a few parts and plugs were light brown but, some had black around electrode. The car just spins over with no unusual noises Etc. All input would be appreciated!

Guides been replaced?Plugs wet or smell like gasoline?Tested MAF?Fuel pump tested?Relays checked?Fuses checked?Tested coilpacks?Tested transistors?Condition of carbon rod inside plug boots?Tested knock sensor wiring for continuity?Tested coilpacks harness's for continuity?

Tested CAS?Grounds clean?Ohmed knock sensors?Made sure connectors were joined tightly together?

Not sure what to suggest exactly since you didn't go into detail of what you've already done.

What plugs were brown and which ones were black?

I did all those things except what transistors are you talking about? The relays I checked were the coil pack relays located behind the ECU and fuel pump relay are there any other relays that may effect starting! Chain guides were done last year and this is a different car. You know I R & R a lot of parts to try to solve this!

Square grey thingy on top of the coilpack fascia, has a plug going into either end of it.

Have you tried testing the plugs/coilpacks by manually rotating the CAS while someone holds the plug up to the valvecover?

Its in the FSM, I can post it if you like.

Have you done a cylinder compression check?

I was hoping there was another way to test for fire without reconnecting all the connectors and you were referring to Igniters ( Transistors) Replaced those also!

All the parts that you replaced, were the replacements new?

If they were used, did you test them to see if they were within factory specs?

I don't even keep parts that are bad! No let me say this parts that do not test with in specs, Alternators, C.P.S., Igniters,Fuel Pumps Etc. are kept in a large bin for parts if needed!
