they have them all the time in the summer in WV... they wet the course down so good that you can't get much speed up...:-(when I was in orlando they were having figure 8 school bus derby/races... now that is hardcore ****. wish we would have had time to go!

derby cars are fun to watch, but it is even more fun to help build oen of the cars.

i lived in iowa for a couple years, and one of my uncles up there was really big into demo derbys. basicly it is to see who can cheat the most with re-enforcing the frame without getting caught.

there is actually a science to building a derby car (although not a very exact one)

Maybe I'm not country enough, but I dont get it. Even if you win (last car standing), you still got a fvcked up car just like the losers...

you don't wanna add heavy stuff!they have em in mud here. Mud+weight=sunk.I like it when they do the later models like escorts and stuff. they go faster than the older boats cause they have FWD and don't sink in the mud so quick.

I used to watch the demo derby at the county fair in Maine when we went to visit my grandparents. I felt so white trash...and it felt great! :pface
