Don't know if you guys look at General Chat, but AZhitman posted Sept '12 - Nissan Dealer Parts/Accessories Clearance Pricing
The spoilers for the Rogue are now only $30-$60! Which sucks for me because I just bought one 2 weeks ago for 77

Thanks kerrton, I think it was titled rogue spoiler at half price. It was just a repost of AZhitmans from General Chat.

I said, I don't know if anyone here looks at General Chat but AZhitman posted Nissan dealer parts clearance.

it had a dead link. either one of the admins must have removed that pdf file. i removed the thread because it wasnt useful. no use in having a thread with a dead link. there is nothing to be offended about, its just general Moderator "house keeping". we do it all the time, by way of: renaming topics/threads, merging threads, moving threads, etc.

kerrton its here:
spoilers-at-half-the-price-t564457.html

(UPDATE): i just had to merge a topic (it deletes a thread, and takes the posts and puts it under an existing thread) just again. someone posted "STUPID QUESTION" and asked a question about tinted tail lights and why one has to sand them. since there is no point in having a thread called "STUPID QUESTION" I removed it and posted the question and my reply under an existing thread. again, nothing to get upset about. it makes searching and the use of nico easier for others.

Dead link, it was exactly the same as the one posted above. It would be nice if you delete a topic and at least PM the the OP why it was deleted.

since you have the new link now, i can reinstate your original thread with the updated link. :gapteeth:
what you have to understand, is that Mods & Admin alike, dont often have the time to spend explaining to everyone what they do, why they do it, and tip-toe around everything that could be misconstrued. we do what we do, and try to make it as seamless and quick as possible. again, there is nothing to be sensitive or flustered about. sometimes even other mods & admin take my work and re-work it, remove it, or re-open thread that i closed; without even telling me via PM. its not a biggie man

LOL! What's really funny is that at the exact moment I was going to reply to that thread with a working link, it was deleted. It was one of those :wtf2: moments... hehehe

And darylzero, from what you posted on that thread is sad that you paid $77 for your spoiler and that now it's on sale for a little more than $30.

That's probably only in the US, right? Are those prices accurate for online orders?

just want to remind people to call your dealers first, before heading there thinking your going to get the price listed. dealers can still sell items for whatever price they want. what you see on that list is, their wholesale price. odds are you didn't pay wholesale for your car, so you wont be paying wholesale for the parts. they wouldn't be in business if they sold everything for wholesale.

PS: if someone is successful at getting great prices = post them here. it will be great bargaining ammo for others.

Just made an order. My last spoiler went to a trash since I got into an accident. Last dealer asked about $200 and I purchased aftermarket on ebay for $100. My order came to $63 incl. shipping. Thanks guys.

Everything Nissan is local to me and they require it to be shipped plus I would have to pay local tax. Double hit. So out of principal I went elsewhere. Called up an even closer dealer and he was completely shocked at the price. So shocked he called Nissan to make sure it was legit. Going to get it for less than $50 OTD. which is less than everything when factoring in shipping. I think Daryl tipped me off to the great price on these. Just buy one for the hell of it. If you never get around to putting it on you can probably sell it for more down the road.

I suggest trying to get it locally, just tell them you can get it shipped to you for $50 but would like to get it locally. I say give them a shot to earn the business.

Got the spoiler today and put it on. Install was a giant PITA. The "template" (used very loosely) was about 1/2" short. It says to center it prior to taping it down. I did just that but found out this was an AWFUL instruction. It should have said "cut in half and align each piece at the edge". Centering it made everyone hole too close to the middle, and the holes on the edge were 1/4" off. Had to just keep making the holes bigger and get the screws started before pushing the spoiler down flush. For anyone that gets this, I highly recommend making sure the outside of the template lines up with the outer edge of the top of the tailgate. It will save you time and grief. Looks great once installed.

This spoiler had a manufacture date of Aug '10. I think they are blowing out stock because they don't even use this spoiler anymore. Everything on the lot has a completely different spoiler that has a light bar. The new Rogues don't even have a 3rd brake light like the '08. My guess is the new one was made so they can sell the same spoiler in US and Canada since they had to have two before. Anyway, get one while they last!

Anyone know whether the Canadian dealerships are clearing out the spoilers?

Bet your holes were closer! Hahaha.

@ hgclim - this is for the US spoiler only. You can probably order it if you want to. Just call your local dealer and see if they are priced for clearance.

Don't have a link for a template, but I did find this Nissan Accessory Installation Instruction Guide:
Rear Spoiler_Rogue_999J1 Gxxxx Class No: EX090052
http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/asistgc_ ... 5C1SN8.PDF
It's a 6 page .pdf that can be viewed online, or downloaded for free.
