Has anyone installed a Deka Intimidator under their hood? It's slightly larger than the KHC1800, but i'm not quite sure if it'll squeeze in.

nope... never heard of those before... they look like bootleg optima yellow tops..... why go with anything other than a KHC1800?

Kinetiks are used in many award winning competition cars.. definitely more than enough for a factory replacement ... but they are espensive

You've never heard of Deka Intimidators? Lol, they're far from bootleg yellowtops. Tons of people over at caraudio.com and DIYMA run them with great results and at a much better price compared to Kinetik, XS/Powermaster etc. Main reason for asking was becuase of the size issue, not quality.

well nope, never heard of em, and no one on here uses em, so don't know about fitment... ask Applebonker, he maybe familiar with them and know whether or not it'll fit...but he uses KINETIK power cells also.... doesn't their website have a fitment guide??? .. I just went to the website and checked fitment there, didn't take that long at all...

as to being larger than the KHC1800, I say no it may not fit becuase the KHC1800 fits perfectly snug in the factory location with no room to spare

Ah, ok that helps a lot. I knew the HC1800 was a tight fit, but wasn't exactly sure how much since I haven't seen it under the hood first hand. In that case, it looks like it won't fit then Thanks for the help!
