degreeing camshafts

i have the JWT c2 cams in a red top det (well they are not in yet) i also have the JWT adj. cam gears they are 8 position cam gears i'm just wondering if anyone has any insight on which position to put them in it's from 10 degrees advance to 10 retard...any suggestions?

Yea, take them to a dyno and tune them. Cam gears should never be put on unless you know what you are doing/have a dyno to tune them on. If you absolutley have to put them on without tuning, set them both to 0. Either that, or compare them to how the stock ones are (as in set the adjustable ones on top of the old ones and make sure the teeth line up).

i just need to klnow for a baseline before dyno cause i have to press the gear for the cas into the cam gear and it leaves it in only one position
