Defrost Button On S14

Is the defrost logo (the picture of the squigly lines) suposed to light up on my S14? I can't figure out if it ever did, or if it was just my imagination. It bothers me to look at it at night cause thats all I will think about.

Just the little light next to the picture lights up. There is no light behind the picture itself.

i don't remember if mine lights up or not, but if yours doesn't, i would sujest just forgettin about it. i don't think it lights up tho, cause i've had those buttons out of the dash before, when i took the interior piece trim off around the radio and shifter and stuff. all those buttons were connected to a holder or w/e for them, and all i remember seeing is wires. no light bulbs........well, now that i think about it, maybe i do remember light bulbs. crap, now its gonna bug me. i'm gonna have to go look before the night is over...
