I have done searches, but in none of them have I found if I definitley need to remove the oil pickup to remove the pan. Is it popssible to get the pan out without removing the pickup? I am worried that if I remove it I might have some trouble getting it back on with the pan in the way. Also, do I have to raise the motr or is there a way to drop the front cross member. Which is easier. I have the driver side motor mount loose, but the passanger side looks like it is going to be a ***** to get to. Thanks for the help.

Sohc. If I raise it enough I don't have to pull the pickup? Thanks

Affirmative. Just don't get so worked up in wiggling the pan out that you let it damage the screen at the bottom of the pickup on it's way out.
