One thing I did notice was that the CAS is supposed to have a 120deg signal (pin 51) and a 1deg signal (pin 52) but I dont see a wire at pin 51. I thought that the series II motors might be differant and this wasnt a problem since the PFC was still receiving a rpm signal. My harness might be incomplete so I might just need to run a wire from the CAS to pin 51.kjlindgr wrote:Use the pin on the ECU. Your body harness must not be hooked up correctly if your cluster isn't working either.
EDIT: Pin 7 is an output signal for the tachometer. The ECU probably calculates RPM via the CAS and so this is why your PFC shows RPM but nothing else does.
The ecu plug is missing the wire for the 120 signal but I do see that the wire is there on the CAS plug. The funny thing is my car is running very well and starts up right away. I wonder if this wire is in a differant pin on the series II harness. I did the harness myself and I double checked the tach wires and both are connected correctly so Im guessing it must be the CAS wire thats the problem. I will also check my grounds to make sure they are all grounded.Carl H wrote:the car wont run very well if the cas signal is wrong...the cas has 2 signals 120 and 1 or sometimes 0 and 180, one serves as the actual cas signal and the other is a check signal.it sounds like the harness wasnt done right if the cluster isnt working...any loose wires hanging round?ive also found that if the harness isnt grounded properly then the cluster wont work correctly and the car runs a bit funny.
