Hi Versa owners,

I wonder if anyone has some experience on this. My trunk liner got scratched badly. Several deep (2mm) cut into the black vinyl (or plastic?). Anyone knows how to touch such scratches up? I may just need something black to fill it up. Just don't know what that something should be.

Generic touch-up paint? Can it work on plastic/vinyl? The scratch is really a deep cut. Quite some space to fill it up. I wonder if black silicon sealant would do the trick.

No, touchup paint will not work (he may have misunderstood the question). The plastic Nissan uses is extremely soft, so taking it to a buffing wheel may only make the problem worse. My trunk plastics are scratched and gouged to hell, my only option is to replace them if I ever sell the car. However, this might work; using a fine sandpaper, sand the entire panel. Fill the scratches and imperfections with Bondo (or something like it), and repaint the panel with black bumper paint.
