ok Dee (or anyone) when i start the car i have to feather the throttle a little to keep it cranked then when it warms up it idles at 1500-2000 rpm's I have replaced the temp(and rewired) sensor, tried a friends TPS, MAF, new o2 sensor, hooked knock sensor up, I cleaned the AIV, no vacuum leaks. at this point I am stumped. The only thing i can think is a bad AIV so i am going to go to the junk yard and pulling one off a Q45 to see if it makes a difference. I also have a safc2 that i am going to install and see if i can fix it with that. If you dont remember my car ran great and then i upgraded the turbo and cams and put the fmic on and it has been like this ever since. any help would be great....

Could possibly be the AIV for the cold starts, but if you're using the stock ecu, you can expect problems as well.

do you think that because i have a bigger turbo its putting to much air in the motor now at idle? I wouldnt have thought it would do anything like that.. is there anyone else running a t3/t4 on a ca having the same problems?

At idle, it's not a big issue, but higher up in the rpm band and boost rises, you'll definitely start leaning the engine. With a T3/T4 and stock injectors, factoring in the bigger AFM and super AFC, you can probably get as much as 12psi of boost without it completely harming your engine, but please don't totally rely on hypothesis because every situation presents something different.

yeah i have a maxima maf that i am going to put on when i upgrade injectors. I am going to try my hand at rom tunning and if i can figure that out i am going to some 72lb injectors if i cant then i will use 550cc with the safc2. I just got done installing the safc2 and the car is idling alot better when i add fuel. so i think for now i will be able to get her driving without a problem...hopefully. thanks for the help Dee
