Here's my build situation. I fell in love with the CAs when i was stationed in England 2002-2004 when I had a 200sx s13 there. When I changed station to Georgia I purchased a 91 S13 for a swap. Due to deployment tempo I only spend every other 6 months in the states so sense 2004 the s13 has sat motorless at my very understanding friend's shop. After my first deployment I purchased the motor and it has sadly sat next to my car on an engine stand where it still curently resides. Each sucessive deployment I've purchased more goodies here and there amassing parts:FMIC, HKS GT2535 turbo, Apexi N1 catback, 550GTR injectors, walbro fuelpump, AEM FPR, OEM oil and water pumps. Overall the project will be eventually be a daily driven, strip runner with the occasional slides finally installing sometime this year. I'm looking for a balanced build not chasing a specific HP number. Now Im trying to decide the route with the the head and bottom end. Orginally I had planed to use the HKS264s with Tomei springs, guides, and retainers but now that those cams are rare as unicorns I think the Tomei 260s will due if I can even find them.I know Dee is adament about the bottomend withstanding the power I'll be producing so Im considering new OEM rods, pistions, and rings or OEM rods and aftermarket pistions. What do ya'll think?
