Well I've been following this forum since i got my ca last summer. I know that Dee is the ca expert here and I live in South Florida. I've had quite a few questions on my engine and I want some help and/or advice.

Here's the scenario:

I got a s13 with a blownn ca and I did my reaserch and had my engine fully built, it took a while but i finally got it back and broke the motor in but i didnt like the shell so I sold it and kept the motor.

I got a 95 se with the front end damaged but then i sourced all the parts and got it fixed and i love my se.

I sold the turbo on the ca swap (masterpower t3/t4, it just took too long to spool on stock boost)

Here are the questions:

My horsepower goals are between 300-400, what turbo (that bolts up to a t3/t4 manifold) can achieve that hp range and spool up fast enough on a ca to be a fun every day driver? I already have a used Volvo td04 13b

I have concerns about wiring? I know about Yuri wiring specialities

Tuning?? Dee if you can help that would be great

What I have to work with:

Engine: ca18detblock: stock rods and crank heat treated inspected for flaws, and then heat treated again, weisco pistons .020 over 8.2:1 compression ratio fully balanced. ARP studs, metal head gasket all new seals and gaskets.Head: full port and polish, 5 angle valve job, stock valves, tomei valve springs, HKS 256 cams. Professionally assembled by a machine shop.

The car 1995 green 240sx se 5spd completely stock but i have already ordered 2.5 inch cat back and downpipe.

Sorry about the long post but any constructive help would be greatly appreciated.

A good turbo would be a t3/t04b or t3/t04e or something of the sort. It should be spooled by 3500-4000 and provide the power you are looking for.

I would have gone with a larger diameter exhaust, but thats just me.

Just search around, the turbo thing has been covered in the past.

Thanks for the reply on the turbo, I have done extensive research and i'm leaning towards a gt28r externally wastegated with a t3 flange. I would love to fit that in the budget. But my main concerns are the wiring and the tuning because if not planned properly can be very expensive, trust me i know this first hand. I had an avinir swap in a p11 and that was a nightmare so im trying to avoid having that happen again.

I really want to know how reputable is wiring specialities and if Dee can help me with the setup and tuning, i'm willing to pay a reasonable fee.

You might want to get an externally gated 2876 or similar. The GT28R is a little too small for what you want.

Hey man, R34 gtr is right about the T3/T04b because it provides enough puff to provide around 300ishwhp, yet spool incredibly fast. As far as the wiring specialties guys, I don't know 'em. But I've gained my reputation in south florida for wiring, so I don't deal with with many shops down here. It all falls back on your budget and what tools you are using to tune with (Important). I'll email you my cell phone # if you need to call.

Yeah, pretty much if you can afford to have Dee do it, and he is willing, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Hey i'm willing to pay if i know that i'm getting good work done so my email is [email protected].

I'm running a chipped ecu with 440 injectors and a z32 maf. Also have a safc-2 wired into the ca wiring harness. I have a spare s14 harness. The only problem is that i upgraded the injectors to 650cc so thats why i need a tune also.

Sounds good with the turbo. I have a friend selling t3/t4 60-1 for a reasonable price, would that be too big.
