This may not be a huge issue for most of you, but for me living with Hondas for like a lifetime, this is a concern. The transmission, in normal operation, is loud by default from the factory. Since I have no background knowledge of CVT transmissions, but only on traditional automatics, what is the best way to lower the droning noise that the transmission makes under normal operations in Florida weather (as the car is a Florida vehicle since bought from South Florida)? I have a friend that is a mechanic, who suggested either to turn up the volume a lot or to strip out the entire interior of the car and put sound dampening material and put back the entire interior back together. However, I do see the benefits and consequences of dampening the entire car, in which that option isn't on my list as I don't have the proper knowledge of interior repairs and stuff. I would like to hear what other options are there to lower this droning sound.

Cheapest solution is to crank up the tunes. After awhile you'll be accustomed to the CVT sound and won't notice it.

Or go with Plan B. There's lots of DIY info and videos online showing how to do it, often for under $100.
