Decl-air setting on safc2

What is everyone running for their decel air setting. I have 42lb injectors and a stock air mass meter. anyone with this same setup? When I lean it out it stals and when I richen it up it keeps backfiring. I have just a straight pipe out for my exaust. Could it be that there is not enough back pressure?

with the stock maf i was using something like 2.0 for all three settings. with the z32 maf i have it set to THR 1.0, NE1 .7, NE2 1.0. i still get a back fire here and there but it doesnt bog between shifts at all and doesnt stall
