I just installed a capacitor and disconnected the battery. the deck got reset of course and now won't recognize the sub. Everything was hooked up just as before with the addition of a cap. The deck used to allow me to adjust the LPF, now it isn't even an option. It also used to allow me to adjust the gain to the amp (well not the gain, but I could adjust the volume of only the sub). The sub still plays though

I just posted in your other thread, I didnt notice you made a new one. Even though you will probably see the other post, I'll still paste it here.

I dont know about Kenwoods, but some decks have a "Sub" setting that you need to turn on to be able to tweak that kind of stuff. Even if you cant set it on your deck you should still be able to do it on your amp.

I feel retarded not being able to find it on the deck. I've pressed all the buttons and held them for a second as well. I can't figure it out!

edit: It's an MTX amp that I disconnected a few times as to try to get the deck to recognize.

edit X2: I just don't get it, it can't be that hard to find the sub setting. I'm lost.

HAHA, I had to go into standby to turn on the sub. WOW, I've been outta the car stereo game for too long.
