Deck Lid speaker question

I have the basic sound system. I am going to upgrade the OEM speakers and i was wondering if the deck lid came pre-wired for speakers?

A co-worker asked/informed me that the deck lid might already be pre-wired for speakers. I cannot find any information about the basic sound system. I don't want to add any amps or sub-woofers.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Ironically, I have the same question myself and, my coworker suggested the same thing just yesterday. I am going to keep digging until I get the answer. When I learn something I'll post here.

Of all the cars i owned the only car that had a decent stereo system was my Lincoln LS. The Apline with the 10 speakers and sub-woofer was excellent.

I do not believe the base system comes pre-wired for a sub in the rear deck. I recently installed one in my 2008 M35 Sport and I didn't see any connection.

I agree with the LS comment, my only dissapointment trading in my 04 LS v8 for my 06 M45 sport

I'm going to commit sacrilege here... If you ever want to hear an absolutely amazing factory system... go sit in a new Lexus LS 460 with the Mark Levinson sound system.... Now whether or not its worth the price is another issue...

Audio has always been one of Nissan / Infiniti's weak points with the exception of the Bose system in the G's I really wish they would correct that.
