Decision time about the cam and lifters

Well an interesting tick has surfaced along with a nice part throttle miss. This is in light throttle applications only. Between 2.5k to 3.1k, the miss that is. It occurs when I bring the revs up sitting still at 2500 I get the miss, when I push past 3100rpm it jumps off the miss.

The light ticking noise is constant. Slightly louder with revs. So I either have a dead or dying lifter or something slightly less major. Maybe an injector.

You guys ever had something like this happen.

Hmm, that miss is unusual, especially at a certain rpm like that. Have you checked you ignition system (rotor or cap maybe?) that could possibly be your problem. You should be able to know if its a lifter tick by now, youve had so many problems with that jk. Ive heard some pretty loud injectors to so maybe. Ill shoot you an email here in a few minutes.

The tick is very light. It might not be a lifter. Its funny because if I just creep the revs past 3100rpms it quits missing and bounds to 3700rpms +.

Devious I'm still considering the solid lifter conversion. Would you be interested in a trade for some 11 new oem lifters. Still in box.
