Deciding Bewteen Blacktop S13 SR and S14 SR

I have all of the parts needed for the swap, and now I just need to find an engine. The places that I should be dealing with will be restocking in a few weeks so right now all there is to do is wait.

I am wondering if the S14 SR is worth purchasing over the S13 SR.

Yes, I know the main difference is the VTC and BB T28, but it is worth buying? What difference in "seat feel" wil it make?

I've only been in one SR powered car before, which was a redtop running really rich with an unknown JWT ECU tune at 7 PSI.

I do plan to upgrade to a GT28RS eventually with 264 duration cams, but who knows when I'll have the money for it.

Any disadvantages to the S14 SR besides the wiring, inital VTC rattle and price?

I know the mechanical difference between the engines, but all I'm asking is if the VTC and T28 is worth it.

I've never personally ridden in an S14 SR powered car, which is why I'm asking.

How does it compare to the S13, with the same basic bolt-ons?
