Well after a many deliberations back and forth on what to do, should I go custom, should I buy the Megan, what about the Element kit, should I go all out and get the JP kit....build my own.

Welp I pulled the trigger on a set of Electric cutouts from DMH Performance.

I'll be hacking up the y-pipe and removing the catalytic converters so it'll be 2.5" off the manifold cats. Fron there I'll be adding and X-pipe and off of that I'll get rid of the stock merge so it'll be 2.5" shaped down to the stock size pipe.

The cutouts will be just after the x pipe and will have turn downs to route the exhaust flow away from the car.

This is the best of both worlds. Stock when I want it to be, a monster when needed at a flip of the switch.

Then I'll get the tune from uprev to take advantage of the increased flow, add a custom intake, then headers with a tune for each and dyno time for each.

we'll see how it goes. and to all the nay sayers out there - don't waste your time posting about how it'll effect my warranty - lol I don't care! ha

YOU JUST VOIDED YOUR WARRANTY YOU FOOLISH MORON! .....

Sounds cool man. I can't wait for all of the dyno results from this. Are you just removing the post cats or all the cats? Post Dyno results and sound clips! BTW:

No warranty issue at all.

And a good plan. WE DEMAND VIDS.

Yeah, I know what they are. I was looking into them when I had my 05' SS Silverado. They are pretty expensive from what I remember. It will be a interesting set-up none the less. You didn't answer my other question. Are you ridding your car of all 4 cats or just the post cats?

Sorry, no just the rear two. The front two are needed to not cause a MIL/CEL or throw a DTC. The rear two are aft of the 2nd O2 sensors so there is nothing to detect them from not working. They are there to clean up the exhaust as best they can after the primary cats. So as far as the computer is concerned - there are no concerns.

Oh, forgot to add that they are almost half what you paid for your Element Exhaust.

PS: I don't recomend cutouts for people that already have exhaust systems because the gains will be minimal. They are really designed for the guy that wants all the benefit of the best flowing exhaust - only when he wants it - and to sound stock when needed.

Last thing I want is to sound riceriffic

There is no ricer sounds that would come from these cars with the 4.5L engine. No matter what kind of route you went with the exhaust.
