I thought I would update you guys on how things are going. The engine is almost ready to be put in. I am just waiting on the AFC and boost controller so I can somewhat hide the wires to clean up the engine bay. I powdercoated the block and painted it black. I also ported out the upper intake plenum and powdercoated that red. Below are some pictures of the confusion lol.

I can't wait to drive this beast.

Here's a couple more pics of the powdercoating and engine bay if anyone's interested.

NSRz32: Where did you get the nitrous kit for your Z? I am very interested in purchasing one like that for mine.

Yeah, the Z should be out on the road before the end of summer granted everything goes as planned. No need to rush things now. I just hope it's done before I go off to college. I miss the sound of the BOV's.

Note: The paint in the pictures above is really a fire engine red, even though they look a little orange in the pics.

Well it doesn't look like the Z is going to be done before I leave for college in less than two weeks. Oh well I guess, as long as it's done right what's a couple more weeks?

I have one question: Dave, the guy working on the car, talked me out of getting the 800cc injectors because he said they would dump too much fuel into the engine with the boost level I am going to be at. I thought the AFC would take care of this problem but he said that you can only adjust the amount of fuel so much. He said to get the Nismo 555cc injectors and they were good till about 600hp. Is this true?

I've no got any personel experience with the remapped stock ECU's but I believe you can remap it to work with whatever flow injectors you want so long as they are a minimal size, and the 555's should get you to about 600crank hp and thats measured with minimal fuel pressure, I've also heard when you get into the really big injectors that the orifice is kinda big and that the duty cycle is so low at low rpm's that they can't form a good spray pattern, also it seems most people are keeping with the 555's and it's a tried and true setup

Alright, thanks a lot. I was getting a little worried.

Well the turbo's are finally mounted on the new engine and they look pretty big. I am definately satisfied with how they look. I will put some pictures of it up later today. The injectors also came and they were the wrong ones so I had to send them back. I am seriously thinking about getting a clutch too because I don't want to put everything back together and burn out the clutch and have to pull the engine again. Do you guys think that's a good idea?

Here are some current pictures of the Z. Sorry I haven't updated the progress in a while, I have been up at college. It should be done by the end of the month.

Nice work!!! All this is bringing back memories of when I did my NA to TT swap a couple of summers ago. Nice to see that you are replacing all the correct things. Its much easier to perform a lot of these upgrades/replacements while the engine is out. I know ealier someone said that you can replace the turbos while the engine is in the car, but it is MUCH easier while the engine is out... Keep the picks coming

Yeah I totally agree. Well it seems that the guy working on my car just quit. Geez, this thing has taken 5 months so far and is only about 70% completed. The shop still assured me that it will get done but I am afraid that things aren't going to be put back right now as the shop doesn't know where he left off. Hopefully everything gets put in right. Does anyone know of a reputable shop for Z32's in the York, PA area?
