whats up nico!

been on the forum for a few months now and i decided to post my build and maybe get a few questions answered. i have a 1991 240sx SE super hicas.

okay so i'm currently employed at a local shop but my offical title is 'intern' so it pretty much translates to 'unpaid shop b****'. but i've been very happy about where i'm working and learned alot about all sorts of different cars. but enough of that.

not having an income makes it very difficult for me to get parts for my car thus postponing the completion of my project. also there has been so many complications that sometimes i wish i never bought the damn thing (i'm sure some of you guys will agree). but i've put my blood sweat tears and a fingernail into my baby and i don't regret one bit. well let the pictures speak for themselves and i hope you guys can help me finish!!

painted my old carpet with vinyl paint. best diy ever!!

after 3 months of waiting. it finally arrived!!

after cleaning her up. looked at it closer when i got home and most of the gaskets and seals were all new! i guess the previous owner in japan took good care of the motor.

KAZAMA delete bar. was gonna paint it gold but got lazy

did my wiring harness at home

greddy intercooler&exhaust

b&m shortshifter

gr+pros look soo good.

exhaust test fit. does anyone know how to get it to hang a little higher?!

greddy EBC

the car is on its way to the body shop to get a kink in the frame pulled out. the prevous owner didn't tell me there was a kink thinking about painting the car white with a matt black roof.

i was looking at getting some enkei rpf1s but can't decide on a final fitment before i put my deposit down. i was thinking 17x9 +18 for the front and 18x10 +38 for the rear. might have to run 10mm spacers in the rear. open to suggestions! i'm new to the whole wheel fitment thing and got opinions here and there from a few people but i'm still not sure.

hope you enjoy!

Nice start! I'm jealous of your gaskets, mine are "who knows" at this point on my blacktop. How many miles did your engine have on it?

:edit: I've got that same B&M shifter, it is GOD.

damn you waited 3 months for your motor? i waited 5 days, lol.

you can get up to 1/2 inch of exhaust height if you use a thick zip tie and go around the bushing causing it to shrink in length.

while the harness and motor is out of the car you should do a wire tuck for the motor harness, it only takes about an hour (more time if you d!ck around)

lol yeah i test fitted the shifter to my transmission and it was super solid and absolutley no play.

i think it had 80k kilometers so i'm guessing 40-50k miles? came out really nice.

yeah i saw that but i wasn't sure where the hanger went since there isn't any rust down on the frame. i'll post some pics tho

yeah i was talking to WhiteComent about the wire tuck and getting specific details and i'm waiting for my tech flex from http://www.wirecare.com they got really nice stuff.

yeah its usually a 2-3 month wait till the place i go to gets motors in. redtops car becoming more and more scarce and all the drifters around in my area pick up motors like buying candy. it sucks for those guys out there who need those motors to get to school (like myself)

i'm glad to see someone take notice of all the great parts i've collected. everyone tells me to buy ebay stuff to save money but i know paying that extra dollar will take you further than the cheapo alternatives. i'm sure it'll pay off!

that vinyl paint worked great! run to a pepboys or o'rileys and pick up flat black DUPLICOLOR vinyl paint. about 2 bottles for the entire carpet and about 2 coats will do the job. dry over night and presto! new black OEM carpet i've seen people do red and it doesnt look half bad
