heh, I'm Andrew. I'm from Willows, CA (the city where Thunderhill Raceway is if anyone here knows of it) I live in Davis now, going to school in Sacramento. i've been lurking this site for a few years, finally joined a while back, never did much with the account till now. This site has been pretty helpful with information on the S13, it's helped me many times. I have a stock 1992 S13 fastback, Failmatic. She's pretty nice, I nursed her back to health from her ordeals with the previous owner. The old owner didn't seem to believe in routine maintenance at all. Got the car in late '05

(the clutch fan blew up one day entering the freeway, it destroyed the shroud and damaged the connection from the harness to the distributor. It took me months to track down a new fan and even longer for a new shroud, and I'm not quite sure what i should do about the distributor connector)

After a huge ordeal with smogging the car, I finally got to really drive it more often. I have to say that compared to anything else I've driven I love the handling characteristics of the s13. The car has been perfect. And since I've moved to Davis, it's been very reliable. I have to say that I can't wait until I can afford to do something with it though. My main focus is going to be suspension work, and to bring the car back to stock condition all around. I want to keep the stock KA24DE (lol). Honestly, I'm not looking to make huge power gains, but rather, I want a dependable car for heading up to drift events at Thunderhill and I figure that the KA makes decent enough power. Plus, besides that, I've grown attached to that truck engine, It was the first engine I've worked on, and got me hooked to working on my own car. The thing I don't want to keep is the Automatic transmission. I want to swap a 5-Speed in, and from all of the write ups I've read, It doesn't seem like anything too extreme. As far as any exterior mods I always draw and redraw my plans on MS Paint, rofl. I don't have any nice equipment at the moment so I just use my mouse. lol, let me know what you think. *Note: the steelies are there because I really cant decide on what wheels I want and I'm too lazy to draw all of the different ones I keep bouncing to and from

Also, I wanna throw this out, on the interior, I'm planning on getting new carpet, in black, redoing the headliner, taking the back seats out, putting in a roll bar, i've already taken out the automatic seat belts and replaced them with the JDM S13 regular seat belts (the automatic belt on the drivers side was twitching out like crazy every time, or it wouldn't even go back all of the way). On the doors and glove box, I want to put a tartan pattern fabric on them, like this.

and, here are some more recent pics*Note: the primer panel is due to a deer running into the side of the car one night on my way to Chico, lol. Pretty much, I saw the deer on the side of the road ahead, slowed down, it jumped away, I thought it was safe, sped back up a bit, it ran back out and hit my car. Not a fun night.

with some touch up work and a manual swap you'll be good to go.

looks great(!. Interior seems really clean. Dash has that nice shiny look. Not much sun damage. I hate deer! I've had two near misses with them myself. Good starting point .How much did you pay for it?

lol, naaa, not toooo long. it took me about an hour and a half. I went out and measured everything so it's sort of to scale. I've been drawing with a mouse since I was 11 and my dad first got an IBM Aptiva with Windows 3.1, on that program 'Paintbrush' haha.

Only on one of the mounting points, the rest are rust free but dirty, lol.

Yea, that deer needed to make up its mind the first time when I was further away lol. Every time I see one now I freak out. As for the car I paid $900 for it.
