so i bought a 98 240 with an auto and swapped it to a 5 speed a while back. i didnt ever change any wiring when i did it. so none of the sensors on the transmission were working besides the speed sensor. also the computer was throwing codes. so i decided to fix the problem. also i finally have enough to put the turbo on my car and have a reliable 10-13ish psi. so im doing that as well.

and the knock light that i just mounted...

oh by the way that orange car under my user name was my old 95 thats where i got all the wiring/transmission/pedals/ecu from and anything else i wanted. so im putting a 95 harness in the entire car!!!

its a turbonetics t4 its got a on center housing and it think its a .58 ar on the turbine side. i dont know what it is on the compressor side cause it has been polished off. but it was part of a kit. xs power or technology or something like that. they say that the turbo is custom to work with the ka.. it spooled 7psi at about 2800 on my last car. i have ported the manifold now and have cams. so it should do a little better now

it wasnt hard at all. biggest thing was that nissan changed some of there plugs during the years. so i swapped the throttle body to a 95 cause the tps was different. also the coolant temp sensor was different and also the winshield wiper motor was different. oh and the headlights. i still have to solder the plugs on for those. but most of it wasnt a big deal. just a lot of time and thinking. the hardest part that i have ran into was removing the heater assembly without removing the AC box. but even that wasnt too hard

well after d!ck off for a while i finished my wiring. the car runs and drives. it has reverse lights and you have to push in the clutch to start it lol. i havent turbo'd it yet cause i dont have the money for the aem uego. so as soon as i round up some cash ill get that and slap on my setup. then its tuning time. and again ill keep you updated on the ka-t. looking to get around 300 to the ground and i shouldnt have anything getting in my way of that.

Nice work man!

Question for you:

I actually need to do some work on the A/C vent motor, because it seems that some of the positions of the vent don't work. I suspect that it due to water getting into the vehicle when it was parked in a yard with a broken windshield a long time ago. The mechanism must be rusted out. When you removed the heater assembly, did you happen to see where this motor goes and if it's reachable without having to unplug the A/C?

if i remember right, all the motors on the heater unit can be reached without undoing the AC. i was able to keep my AC connected and remove the box that distributes the air to the vents. and i was able to remove the blower motor box. now it was probably the hardest part of the whole project lol. but a little wiggling and you should be able to get it. if you take the center box (AC box) and pull that out as far as you can you should be able to maneuver the other two out of the way. get a pic of the motor you need i might have one.
