So I finally found a dealer with a base G37 coupe manual. Exactly what I'm looking for. Apparently, people in the East coast only want fully loaded automatics. It's a leftover 2008 model, but it's brand new. MSRP is $38,365 (has a spoiler and 1 or 2 very minor options. Otherwise, bone stock) I called and the sales lady called me back very quickly with a quote.: $29,995. Pounce on the deal or do you think I can haggle further? Thanks everyone!

if msrp is $38 it Cant be a base model. It is definitely a deal though. If your financial situation is good and you tell them you'll take it for $29 flat, I'd do it. Its NEW! cant beat that.

Jump on it, a no sunroof car is hard to find -- a lot more headroom.

1" = a lot? Or does the sunroof on the G37 take up more space than the G35?

I'd wait. Reason, because the 2010 model comes out and in that case the 2008 would be " 2 years old" also the 2010 changes a little the body style, interior, etc. More options on the basic 2010 vs the 2008 and 2009. It should drive the price down on the 2009 and 2008 on the lot. They might capable to go lower than that.

I would wait or haggle and then walk away and wait for them to call you back... remember things are bad everywhere and you have the upper hand... you have the money not the dealer...

Not sure about the coupe, the in the sedan no sunroof adds at least 2 inches of headroom in front and about an inch in back. Nissan is not known for efficient use of space with sunroof design.

I think it probably is much closer to an inch than 2 inches as far as additional space. That said it was one of the reasons I did not purchase a coupe. I am not all that tall yet I felt the lack of headroom in the coupe.

Thats not the issue. Nissan makes Moonroofs. Thats why there is a big hunk of headroom missing. There is 1.7 inches of headroom lost in the coupe and 1.4 inches in the sedan. They lose lots of headroom because nissan makes the roof integrated type, not the separate type. If they did, the car would look tacky with the moonroof protruding out the top of the car, though the interiour would only lose about half the headroom as the integrated type.
