Comfortably, I would assume.asoomal wrote:Oh gawd that's horrible.
How does one celebrate Christmas in such weather?

Prescott is where Greg and I are going to end up. Retirement home will be 3 BR house, 10 bay garage, and a vegetable garden on two acres of land.gwoods wrote:Nissan Girl, Prescott AZ (2 hours away) got a half foot of snow on Saturday might still be there. We bought 3 animal shaped sleds from Costco last month can't wait to teach my boys to sled.
"Endure"?!?! I'd PAY for that. It was 17* outside today. At 2pm. SEVENTEEN DEGREES. XVII! That's AT LEAST eighty degrees too cold. I'd rather have twelve months of 113 degree weather than one of 17.nissangirl74 wrote:If you are one of those people who have always wondered, "What's in Arizona?" well, here you go. This is why we gladly endure 113* for 6 solid weeks.
A/C in the garage. Your argument is invalid.WDRacing wrote:Nah, over 90 is too hot. Working on your car in the hot sucks just as bad as working on your car in the cold. 17 definitely sucks though...
Cold is pain. Same sensation (seriously, it is...psychologists use prolonged exposure to cold to measure pain-tolerance levels).WDRacing wrote:Nah, over 90 is too hot. Working on your car in the hot sucks just as bad as working on your car in the cold. 17 definitely sucks though...
Yeah cause everyone has AC in the garage...you know what that would do to an electric bill? It's far easier to heat a garage than it is to cool it. I lived in AZ for 4 years, nobody I knew had AC in their garage.nissangirl74 wrote:A/C in the garage. Your argument is invalid.WDRacing wrote:Nah, over 90 is too hot. It's not horrible if you're smart about it. Our garage doors are all well insulated. We don't have it on unless we're out there working on something. It doesn't drop it to 60*. We kick it down to about 80* which is absolutely fine for working.WDRacing wrote:Yeah cause everyone has AC in the garage...you know what that would do to an electric bill? Yeah, until you're helping Greg work on the Z and the sun has been shining on the door and makes it about 3465716487817324^23 degrees and you barely touch the metal part and it melts your entire arm.nissangirl74 wrote:It's not horrible if you're smart about it. Don't get me wrong Bex, I love AZ. I'm just saying wicked hot sucks. It doesn't suck so bad that I wouldn't tolerate it though.nissangirl74 wrote:
