Debagding And Start Button Question

Hey guys ..im new here ..i used to own an infiniti j30 and the transmission went out on me so i just got an 08 altima coupe.. 2.5 black on black 20% tint L.E.D Front turn signals. 8000K H.I.D and im lookin at debadging it..i just dont know exactly what the safest way to do it is...has anyone here done it yet?and i saw that someone on the forum changed their engine start light color...how did he do that..im too scared to pull it out and experiment with it...is it just a bulb replacement ?

ITS NOT A BULB SWAP.. its a SMT LED SWAP (soldering required)..

Take some dental floss and get those badges off!

surmanm did the start button, involves soldering surface mounted LEDs, check out his post for more info ( http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread?id=369000 )

as for debadging...just heat it up and use floss or fishingline working it between the letters and the glue...there are way too many posts devoted to this to link

My eyelids are FIBERGLASSI got them on ebay He uses my pic lolhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

They need to be painted though... but the install is "remove tape, push down" super simple and looks AWESOME!

you could swap out the start button. its very easy actully. just go to an infiniti dealership and buy a g37 g35 m35 or m45 start button. pop yours out and put that one in. i recomned those modles cause there blue and orange (not blue and yellow) and match pretty well. i did mine cause i work at a nissan and infiniti dealership, and it took about five mins. i also added interior accent lights that are blue from a g37. i can post some pics if any cares.

this is the best pic i could take to show the light theese guys give off. its pretty dim almost like you have a moon/sun roof open on a full moon night.its give all the chrome accent trim and shift knob a nice glow and makes the cabin look pretty sweet on dark nights.
