Is it possible to take off the I35 lettering? I did it on my old Lexus but then had to patch holes that I didn't know were behind it. Anyone know if there are holes holding on the I35 letters or are they just glued on?

EDIT: I've heard that you can use dental floss to get behind the letters to get them loose from the car- would that work (If Im correct about there being no holes behind the letters)?

The emblems on the I are just held on with adhesive. Use a heat gun (can be had from your local auto parts chain for under $50) or if you don't want to pay for that, a hair drier will help some.

And yeah, dental floss is one option. I doubt it'll like the heat gun much, though. I'd try fishing line instead.

Also, be careful with the adhesive if you use the heat gun. It gets VERY hot and if you touch it on you it'll stick like mad.

If you don't have a heat gun. Use a blow dryer and set it on hot. But be careful of the paint. We debadged our G35 and used a hair dryer, dental floss and goo gone to take off the remaining glue on the body. I like the clean look. I am debaging my I35 on my next day off. Here's what our G35 looks like without the emblems and smoked overlays on the lights.

I just got done takin mine off, used a hair dryer.. came off soo easy, id say dont even waste the money on a heat gun if u got a hair dryer layin around, took me like 5 min to take off 3 emblems, about a half hour to rub off all the extra adhesive stuck, use rubbing alchohol, works great!
