Please o Please make me the happiest boy in the whole wide world LOL

I went to this website http://www.deatschwerks.com/nissan.htm They have 740cc Fuel Injectors.. for 359$ for a set of 4 anyway They are side feeds and work with the stock fuel rail and system... NOw here is the big question Do I really need to convert to TOP feed or can I run with the side feed babies... ? Im going to be making close to 500HP I have the Fuel Pump already bought and If things are on the up and up with these Fuel injectors then Im set. I just kinda wonder if the stock fuel rail can handle the task or not. If everything will work then I can buy these and be done almost with my engine... Please let me know...

I got my 550's side feed from them. Are 740's enough for 500 hp?

740 should be plenty enough. I'd run the fuel pressure around 45-48psi unplugged to try for a duty cycle of around 75-80%.

Seems like they'll flow alright in the stock rail, but I think for your power level I'd probably convert to topfeed to eliminate the possibility of failure there. Besides, topfeed rails are t3h s3x! JAYDEE 'EM !!!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

So, Running Side feed 740cc Should be fine for 500WHP Should I really upgrade to the TOP FEED is it really that big of a problem with side feed failing? Im not going to be running 500WHP 24/7 its more of a 350 to 400WHP car and 500WHp when I really want the power...

well to be honest with u, there are only a handful of people over the 500rwhp mark but these people have mainly been running top feed routes due to the fact that the deatchwerks option wasnt around back when these people were piecing together their fuel system. there really hasnt been anyone out there to prove that our factory fuel rails can only hold/support up to xxx amount of hp. if anything has gone wrong with any of the ka-t setups out there, i personally have yet to come across any case where there was a lack of fuel due to the use of the stock fuel rail. IMO u should be fine but honestly should u make the 500rwhp with the stock rail and deatchwerk injectors, u would be the first if not one of the few to do so with the use of the stock rail.

I contacted them today about the injectors... I think im going to go with them ... 800cc side feeds... for a low price is a awsome deal and I will only have to run them around 80% duty so they shouldnt burn out or anything... I guess I will run with it and see what happens... He told me that stock fuel rail and lines are good for about 550WHp or so... I should be talking to him again shortly

I would at least replace the fuel lines for newer ones and use real hose clamps.

Sidefeed injectors will work just fine. While you're doing the tuning, simply watch the AF ratio's once you start really cranking up the boost. If you can't richen the mixture past a certain point theats when you start looking to increase either the fuel pump, fuel rail or fuel injectors depending on which one is the weak link.

I used this method to see how much boost I could run on the stock S14 pump. I maxed the pump out far before my fuel injectors maxed out.

Hope this helps.
