I am sad to say, but one of our friends on this Nico forum has passed away recently. John (username = Alien_Tracker) was my friend and a car enthusiast just like the rest of us here on this site. The sound of his Altima Coupe driving through the streets and John's smile is still with us in memories. Some of you may know John from his posts and others may remember John from some of the San Diego Altima meets. I posted a link to the news article regarding John's death from the Yuma Sun newspaper. Funeral arrangements are set for December 20. Please keep John and his family in your thoughts and prayers. God bless...

This is so sad to hear. DOC was going to call him to make plans one day so we could all go down to the gun range when I was down in San Diego picking up my car. This is terrible news. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and family.

This is kinda weird with Brittany Murphy dying the same way. Too many sad unusual deaths as of late.

John was a really cool guy. He was just down here in San Diego last Saturday for one of our SoCal Altima meets... he rbought his son and we all got a chance to have dinner with them both that evening, We were already making plans for hi to return this week to install his HID kit and head to the gun range. This is so surreal to me right now. My thoughts and prayers go out to them both.. I'm headed to the funeral tomorrow if any of the SoCal guys want to cruise over to Yuma.. It's only about a 3 hour drive from San Deigo... very very sad

Sad to hear about a NICO member passing. I did not know him but feel a common bond, not just NICO but I survived my heart attack over 4 years ago and am extremely lucky to be here today. I'm sure he'll be missed, my condolences to his family.

I am so glad that I had gone to the last San Diego meet and had dinner with him. I do remember offering to help him install his HIDs and I am very sad that we will not be able to do that. Unfortunately I will not be able to make the funeral. I just got the call from the Doc this morning. It has still not hit me that he is gone. His poor family . . .

Hey Doc thanks for coming out to the reception today. That showed a lot coming from San Diego on such short notice. I'm not sure if you remember me but I spoke to you just as you were about to leave. That meant a lot to our family in green... Be safe and God Bless!

Gilbert , correct? yes, I definitely remember you, how can I forget... if it weren't for you, we wouldn't have known until it was too late... Many thanks for taking the time to post this information on here. It was nice seeing his "other" brothers and the wonderful homegoing service you all put on for him. Absolutely spectactular! There are few bonds as close as that of police officers, government agents in the field, and any other type of peace officer. (My father was a police officer as well)... Obviously he didn't talk much about being an agent on here, but he and I talked about it a lot during the numerous times that he came over to San Diego. he even showed me some shooting tips at the range that drastically improved my performance.

So coming out at the last minute was not a problem... its never a problem making sacrifices for good friends! Tell the boys in green to keep up the good work... we appreciate all of the hard work and sacrifice that you all go through... take care and God bless to you all!!!

Oh yes, in case Mrs. Hoag want to see more thoughts and prayers sent for John, here's a link to another thread on this site where members have offered their condolences as well!!!

Wow, I am terribly sad I missed this news. I didn't know him too well but I do remember talking to him a bit while at dinner during our last San Diego meet.

My thoughts go out to all his family and friends.

Sorry I didn't make the services I haven't been on the internet in a few days.
