Hey guys! I have been a member for a little while but I don't usually have much to say I usually just enjoy reading what others have to say. I did meet some of you at NOPI however and am very happy to make this post.

For a while now I had been dreaming of getting a 240sx but with time and reality I have slowly let go of that dream....

Until yesterday a new dream was born. I will take delivery on a new to me 350z this afternoon after work. I wanted them to clean it and do some other things first.

It is a 2003 Performance package in Red. Manual of course. My plans for it? Pay it off! I would love to do some things down the road a spoiler maybe and a chin spoiler... Upgrade the sound system, and exaust... If I get really crazy maybe even a power adder but I'm not really getting my mind set on anything until I pay it off. At any rate I have to get back to work I'll see if I can post some pictures later if anyone is interested.

Cya!

Thanks a ton guys! I just took it down to GA and put about 350~400 miles on it this weekend just getting familiar with the girl. I was going to get some pictures at Maxima278's house with his 240 but didn't get there untill just as the sun was going down. I think a friend of mine got a good picture of it and I'll ask her to e-mail it to me.

As far as the trip oh my gosh I've never driven a car like it. I traded in my slightly modified 97 Mustang and I don't think I'll ever look back. The back roads of NE GA said it better than I ever could.

I have to fly out tomorrow for work but will try to get some pics up Tuesday after I get back.

Thanks guys! and I want to get some pictures with your 240 this weekend since I'm heading down there the 11th. I miss the Mustang but at the same time if I had it to do over again I would have done it the same way... Cause like jester says I smile for hours after every time I drive it.

I just opened photoshop used image/extract and pulled the car out of the rest of the picture sort of. Created a new picture at 400px wide and 200px tall shrunk it down arranged it. Added a lens flare (man I love that filter), some lighting effects on the back ground and Viola!!! a new sig. I'll make you one if you'll send me some pictures.

I just noticed thats my truck behind your 240 in that picture!

That truck has a way of creeping up in the photos doesn't it? Even in different states!

Looks great.

I wonder how rare the red color is? I don't think I've seen more than a couple red Z33's in AZ.

Most are black, silver, copper, blue or ivory...

I've never really given it any thought but now that you bring it up I have only seen one other red one in person. That was a roadster at the local Nissan Dealership when I was driving by. Most of the ones I see are Silver around here.

Must be a regional thing. Redline was made 02,03,04, and 05. I see lots of the in this area. Might be because red does not stand up to lots of sunlight well over time.

The have made limited production colors each year and are as follows...

2003 - Brickyard2004 - Liquid Aluminum2005 - Yellow 2006 - Interlagos Fire

/me grabs buffer and wax.../me shakes fist at the sun and screams "You'll never get my precious never!!!"

Just kidding.

I do like that Interlagos Fire though is pretty. And since we are talking 06 here if anyone wants to dump the new factory 06 wheels I might be willing to take those off your hands I think they are pretty as well.

So lemme get this straight, you were "dreaming" of getting a 240sx, that didn't work out, so you got a Z33??

Shouldn't that be the other way around?

Anyway, congratulations. This thread made me go back and re-read Jezter's review and now I *really* want one, but I have to wait awhile.

Z33 > 240 anyway, for most applications. The VQ is a great engine, and I'd probably be more content with keeping a Z33 stock than I would at keeping almost any other sub-$50k car stock. It is just balanced very well for enjoyment right out of the box.
