I have a magnaflow exhaust installed and was wondering if anyone else has had a little bit of rust on their exhaust tips? I'm pretty sure there's a little bit more but thats the part thats most noticeable to me. Is there any way to get rid of it without buying a whole new exhaust?

Thanks for the input!

Snap some pictures. I could probably give you a better answer. Typically if you have condensation in your exhaust pipes due to more frequent short trips this would cause what your seeing. Also, are these tips chrome? Does it wipe off? If so, this is fairly normal.

Borla makes exaust pollish to clean up your tips. On the pipes under the car, might be a bit harder, but it may work there too. Get some brass wool (instead of steel) from a hardware store or online. Brass is softer that the steel so it wont scratch it. Use the wool and the polish and it rubs right off and looks great, at least it does on stainless steel.

Sounds like a good solution. May take up some time but should fix your problem.

Where do you live? That surface spotting on the piping is fairly normal if you live in a cold climate where the salt the roads in the winter etc. A nice polish like was already suggested will take care of the tips! Good luck man!
