I have a 2002 Infiniti I35 with 82K. I've been having problems with it that i've detailed in another thread. The problems with the vehicle are:

rear oxygen sensor needs replacement - trying to charge me $450 for the part (list price is $140)throttle body motor needs replacement - trying to charge me $650 for the part (list price unknown)maf sensor needs replacement - trying to charge me $700 for the part (list price is $500)

+ plus labor.

I really think they are overdoing it. Is there anything I can do to stop the dealership from overcharging me?

You can go somewhere else! lol

What is a throttle body motor? Is that because it's drive by wire?

Are they sure your MAF is bad? I've had the same one on my car for over 10 years.

Anyways, the O2 sensor shouldn't take but an hour or two to install. Even at dealership rates, that's $350 for part and labor. (I'd do it myself if I were you)

You might try calling another dealership's parts department and asking them for pricing on these items. If you decide to get the labor done somewhere else, you can call back that same dealership and order the parts from them.

Not sure where you're at, but Infiniti of Riverside here in Cali is very reasonable and professional. Ask for Tony.

I just had lots of trouble myself with the Infiniti dealer near me. They gave me hell when I brought my car in with transmission trouble.

If it wasn't for the car being under warranty, I wouldn't have gone to the dealer. They will screw you over. Peroid.

Privately owned shops are you best bet.

I think they are charging too much

Look for a privately owned shop
