I was told by the service dept that putting 20" rims and a aftermarket intake was not good at all. They said that oil from the filter will damage the MAF. I know that's only if you over oil it. I hope? And with the rims, they said that the suspension is not set up to handle the extra inches of the wheels. Right know they are staggered with 8.5 in the rear and 8.0 in the front. The new wheels will be 8.5 on all four wheels. The car is an 07 sedan. Are they just blowin' smoke so that I keep buying filters and tires or are they right? Also, will those mod's shoot up my warranty?

Before I ordered my Stillen intake I asked the service manager about it. He told me no problem as long as I buy a brand name. When I told him I'll buy a stillen he just told me good choice. If I want they even install it for me.

Your dealer is blowing smoke. My dealer installed the mods in my signature and covers them under waranty.

It suprises me that so many service depts. have absolutely no clue what they are talking about.

It is possible to get oil build up on the maf, but not typical unless you're spraying it directly on the maf or are letting junk get inside the intake tubes.

There might be a little more stress on the drive train with the bigger wheels and added weight, but with bigger wheel sizes comes smaller lower profile tires so that everything fits(I wouldn't go any bigger than 20's).

Have fun with the new goods
