I picked up my Black M35 Sport two days ago...an noticed a small scratch in the clear coat above the handle of the driver's door (it was a showroom car). I brought the car back to the dealership to have the scratch removed. They did it while I waited. Today in direct sunlight I noticed really big swirls in the paint on the door. Had I known it would end up like this I never would have had them remove the scratch. Anyone have similar experiences with a Black M35? I've got to believe that if done correctly, no swirls should be visible in any lighting. I intend to take it back to the dealership and tell them to get it right or get me another car. Just don't want them to do more harm. This is my first black car so it's a new situation for me. You can buff out a scratch on a black M35 without leaving swirls behind, can't you ?

Anyone have suggestions on getting the swirls out on my own ?

Thanks for your help !! Love this forum !

Honestly i would try and go to autozone and pick up some meguirs scratch-x or something like that... Just give it a try, its like $5, if that doesnt work, then you can go back to the dealer, and you would have some more leverage...
