Could this be true? A pair of brand new pre-delivery GT-Rs at the Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI, USA on the weekend. These cars were still completely covered in interior plastics and are said to have arrived to the drag strip wearing dealer tags.If it is, surely these can’t be sold to unassuming customers as brand new cars!?Be careful if you’re buying one of these in Southeastern WI or Northern Illinois/Chicago areas. You will want to verify the delivery mileage as well as general tire condition and so forth. Thanks to Nick who shot these photos for passing them along to us.

Well, the black boxes installed monitor how the car has been driven, correct? If I bought one, I'd make sure they did a diagnostic and showed me the results.

definitely wouldn't want to spend 80 grand on one to realize it was beat up at a drag strip a few times.

I'll take it for $60K, pull the entire powertrain and electrical system, airbags too, sell it for $50K and use the coin to jam a VK56 with a blower in the shell with a painless wiring harness and EMS. A 9 inch rear and a custom driveshaft To get the power delivered and start hunting OEM Rs.

when i worked at toyota we would always take cars out and go race around the industrial park across the street but you have to be retarded to try and get away with it at a drag strip with at GTR, the nicest car we took out was a 6.0 gto

I know the Service Manager from my local Nissan would have slowly, painfully tortured the salesmen, had the guys here done something like that.

And if he follows the link to this thread that I emailed to him... What's up Ron...

like it really matters, if they do find out it'll be resold in a different state and no one will know, do you really think the dealer (owner) would give up 80K and sell it for less or admit that the cars were abused/raced, you can even ditch a salvage title history if it's the right car. hop over 5-6 stated/owners and at the end... "omfg they finally have a gt-r at the local nissan !!!" haha

I used to work at Saleen and part of the test drive we would actually be encouraged to be aggressive with it. You don't even want to know how we were with the mustangs we got from the factory before they became Saleens.
