I wonder if anybody can verify? I have a new-to-me '90 Q. The closest dealer to me says that he can't pull up the service records because it's over 20 years old and referred me to the consumer affairs telephone number at Infiniti. The guy at consumer affairs says that it is their policy to not print, mail, email the service history, which they DO have at their fingertips.
Any idea if this is actually true (I imagine it is, I asked directly if that was their policy and he said yes) and if so, are there any other routes I could go to get the dealer service history? Thanks,
-Randy

Consumer affairs agents can be very stupid and there are a lot of them unfortunately at Nissan. They have hired a lot of people that don't know anything about anything other than their paycheck sadly. Call back again and take note of the name of the agent you speak with. Keep calling back until you find a helpful one. Eventually you will get a nice person with some answers. I got all my answers from one agent who was one of the nicest people I have ever met, but she's retired now.

Get a Car Fax report and look at where the vehicle has been for service then call up the dealer and be as nice as you possibly can. Usually they will Fax you the history but if that dealer won't budge try another...

Same thing happened to me when I got my 94Q about 5 years ago. The gal at consumer affairs was very helpful though and she read it over the phone line by line while I wrote each one down. Call back and see what they can do for you.
