Hey everybody,
I just went in for the emission recall on my 2009 2.5 altima coupe.
They said they would be reprogramming the ecu i believe and replacing my exhaust manifold etc.
I get a call this afternoon saying my car would not stop and my ignition box would need to be replaced.
Long story short, my parents were not happy.
They argued with the dealer for a while and the dealer agreed to pay for the labor but charge us for the part which is approximately 500.
The dealer is arguing that the recall had nothing to do with error. However, I never had an issue before they touched my car.
We already told the dealer to just fix it (we will be picking it up tomorrow).
Could the recall and ecu reprogramming have shorted out my ignition box?
