Last month, i dropped off my '06 M35x to near by dealer (Infiniti of Englewood, NJ) for some warranty-job...The guy was very nice and polite... he even gave me brand new G35X as a loaner... everything's cool and all but after few days, i went back to pick up my car, i noticed few scratches on rear passenger side door and on the glass! how did they scratched the glass? i have no idea... but when i showed it to the guy, he was like... are you sure it wasn't there before? and then told me that he'll have to talk to his manager. When manager saw it, he simply said 'that's a scratch on the tint'... i was like... who the hell gets their window tinted from outside? Manager looked at it again...said something to the guy then walked away ... so few days later, he called me back and told me to leave the car... so i did. They tried to buff the glass(?!?) but failed...made it worse... so finally they decided to replace the glass... and i lost my tint (they won't reimburse me for that).Last saturday, i went back to pick up my car (heavy rain storm that day) guy wasn't there...but i saw my car on the lot, so i just grabbed one of the service person and drove out. Later that day, rain stopped... so i went to get my replaced window tinted again, then i noticed 'deep scratch' on passenger side fender... about 5inches long... deep enough for me to see the actual metal. Drove right back to the dealer, showed it to the guy... guy said he can't do anything about it... and told me to come back on monday to talk to the manager. I couldn't go on monday, so i sent my wife there... she told me they took the picture and told her to tell me to call them. So i called... left few messages...called again... nothing... this is very frustrating... if they damaged my car, then they should fix it... isn't that simple? i'm sure if i hit one of their cars on the lot, they'll sue my *** off until they get paid. What are my options? keep bugging them until they fix this issue? or complain to Infiniti? will that do any good?

Good luck with this.

I had similar events happen at the stealership - a MAJOR deciding factor for me to sell the car off. The owner of the place actually told me "You left your sunroof open when you brought the car in" (which I didn't) to explain how black permanent adhesive had made it all over the driver's seat.

$60,000 car, get treated like shiiiiiiiiiiiiit...

Hello,Sorry to hear of your situation. Instances like these seldom end up well for the customer. Did you happen to purchase your vehicle there? If so, you might stand a better chance of a satisfactory resolution. Have you spoken to General Manager? Perhaps a polite conversation can help. The sad fact remains dealers barely get by on warranty work. The amount they are paid by Nissan N.A for work is wildly divergent from the amount the out of warranty customer does. My point in that is threatening to take your business elsewhere might result in them being open to it. I would speak to the GM, explain that you plan on getting all future service done there. Furthermore, that it is a complicated situation without documentation from either side as to the condition prior to service, but, that you would greatly appreciate them working to resolve this damage.Truly Sorry,ML

Sorry you have had this happen! Unfortunately, there are a few Infiniti dealers who don't live up to the general reputation.

Please contact Infiniti Corporate Customer Support and work with them on it. You may be able to get a resolution on this, just keep it firm without yelling ... often works wonders.
