Dealer received "invoice" this morning

My dealer contacted me this morning and said that they received the invoice for my car and that they are expecting my car to arrive shortly.

How long should I expect? Would picking it up Monday morning be feasible?

Also, where is the car "invoiced"? At the plant? At the point where it transfers from train to truck?

Does anyone know where the invoicing center for upstate New York would be? I saw someone post that their invoicing center for Pittsburgh was in Lordstown, OH.

Glad to hear it! It's about time huh? I should be placing my order next week at the leastest. I cant wait till I get to say " I got the Call I pick it up tomorrow!" Still have plenty of time for that.

Well I talked to my salesman this morning he is asking me to come down and place the deposit and sign the paper work either today or tomorrow. I work late so it might have to wait till next week. The only disappointing part is he said I may have to wait till DECEMBER NOW!!!! NOOOOO. I dont know if I can wait That long!

Crazy Wait!!!! I'll keep you guys posted. Believe me I'm the type who will be calling every week hoping to hear good news!!!

The only pre-arrival notification I got was when they received the the invoice last Thursday. Not sure if they can get more info, I have heard other people say they were able to find out the exact date that it was being built.

On the one hand I kind of feel for you guys that ordered and have to wait 6- 8 weeks etc - but on the other hand you know what you are getting into - so why kill yourself badgering the dealer when you already know it will be a long wait. Just hurry up and wait

Interesting though I don't think I have seen one thread on the G35 forum about pre-ordering the 2008 G37 coupe and having to wait. I wonder if there is more of a supply, less of a demand, more wait and see ???

Well I placed the order for my Code Red 3.5SE Finally on Friday! My Salesman is extremly nice! He told me the order would be placed that same day and he would keep me posted through out the whole thing. He also told me he would call the rigional manager to see if I could get the car sooner then the 90days.

I'm not sure if theres a way to see what stage the car is in but I do know that because of the distance of the dealership I will be calling his cell phone frequantly. I dont care.

As for the wait, Yes its going to suck but hey I'm sure the car is worth it. I could of always bought another color, but I want it the way i Want, anyway to go. Plus it goes me more time to save money to put down.
