Hey All

So I recently purchased a 2006 Murano, and has 60K miles so im doing some maintenance on it since i dont know the history (under extended warranty), and I have some questions regarding where to take it for service, i need to get a few things done, and I would like to get advice on whether i should take it to Nissan or let my mechanic who i have taken my other vehicles to. Also if you can tell me if any of the parts i should get should definitely be Nissan or can it be aftermarket. (I am aware of the transmission fluid, and will only take it to Nissan to flush)

Front Brake Pads/Rotors/brake fluid(Wagner Thermoquiet or Nissan OEM?)
Alternator belt (after market ok or def nissan)
Engine Air Filter (after market ok or def nissan)
Cabin Filter (after market ok or def nissan)
Oil filter (after market ok or def nissan)

I appreciate the help

Those are all normal wear parts. I'd take it to whichever will be cheaper.

Just make sure that the brake pads are changed for OEM or better. Not Autopart cheapies.

I agree with Brien (someone write that down). However, make sure you go through the fine details of the extended warranty. Sometimes if you take your vehicle to someone else for ANY type of service, even an oil change, they will void your warranty.

Agreed. Extended warranties do not fall under the same rules as standard vehicle warranty.

If the warranty through the dealer or your lien holder?

Thank you all for the responses, the warranty i am purchasing is through Nissan the Preowned Preferred Security Plus

The brakes would be a Wagner thermoquiet, i believe those should be as good as OEM if not better, please advise if i am incorrect

Thanks

Wagner is one of the best OEM style manufacturers, for brakes, anyway... I don't know if you really need to buy a special brand tho. I'd save and just go with standard.

What do you mean by standard?
