Dealer messing with me...?

Dealer called me today, saying that my car will be in next week, but he is going on a 2 week vacation. He told me that he has two in that are the same thing, one with a spoiler, one without, and one is charcoal instead of black.

Can he say ya i'll put it on hold, so he wont put it on the lot and the car doesn't get marked up?

Can I say... If you really want me in a car today, what are you going to do for me that will make me want to buy it right now?

I haven't gotten my check from insurance yet, so I dont see how he will , or I will be able to do anything without that yet.

I'm really curious as to a full package without 4WAS and Tech Package run out the door, with a little bit of a discount.

As I said in the other post, he told me $47-$48k out the door, (including taxes, etc.)

Let me know, as I am about to go to the dealer here today.

my car, fully loaded (everything EXCEPT 4was) $44,900 and change. LA county and CA state taxes, about $3600. I bought some other stuff as well but had I not, out the door cost would have been roughtly $48,500. Hope that helps.

They probably want to push these out as quick as possible before the initial "excitement" from the launch fizzles and they have to start dealing to move them.
