Anyone know what the dealer markup on the '06 350Z is? I just got a job at a Chevy dealer which is part of a franchise that includes a Nissan dealer. I just wanted to price out a new Z for ****s-and-giggles since I think I can get one at dealer cost. I know the easiest way to find out would be to ask the dealer, but they are in another town and I'm not sure yet if I can even get the discount with them.

I have a book at home that lists the dealer invoice prices. Not sure what kind of pricing you can get through your job, but I inquired on a few through the Nissan site which puts you i touch with a fleet person. Their price right off is pretty good. I don't have dealer invoice on many of the accessories, but in my estimation, I was quoted about 800 over invoice on a grand touring coupe with nav.

I'm looking at an Enthusiast w. Nismo Sways & Floor Mats. The MSRP on Nissan's site is $30,324. If I could get it out the door for $28,000 I would be tempted to buy one when I graduate college in the spring.

My book with the invoice prices are at home. I'll try to check it tonight if I get in early enough.

The dealer invoice for a 6MT Enthusiast is $26,959. Tax and license would bring the vehicle price up a couple of grand. I think if you get it out the door for their MSRP, you'ld have a pretty fair deal. They'd likely have to be hurtin to have to get you out at 28K. Couldn't hurt to try though.

I just found out that I can only get discounts on Chevy's since I'm a Chevy employee.

try and find out who owns your dealership. for the most part many of the dealerships are owned by some sort of corporation *IE Power anything means you can visit any other Power whatever and get employee pricing*

I know for a fact that since I am a part of the vantile group that any dealership that is owned by van I can get employee price on a car or parts. For the most part ask for the invoice.... even then they will jack up the price without your knowledge even if they show you an invoice paper.

If you work with a fleet person that you know and is cool they might just be able to show you everything on their computer screen. I know that for a fact I got a good deal since I have a friend in fleet show me all the numbers.

The dealerships are family owned - "Alexander" in north central PA.

It's okay that I can't get a Z at dealer cost b/c it would be a real stretch for me to afford one anyway.
