New 07 M45 sport. My dealer tells me he can install a rear spoiler exactly like the factory. Can anyone tell me if that's true. Does the factory use tape or drill holes? Do I have anything to worry about with the dealer doing the job? I don't want the chance of a botched job -- I'd rather do without the spoiler.

thanks!virg

Agreed. A spoiler should be pretty simple to install and it usually involves drilling some holes (for bolts for a more secure installation) and probably some tape to seal the openings ... if they mess it up, they can get you a new trunk, I suppose!

i was told by a dealer that the spoiler is installed at the dock when received. i purchased mine and installed it, it looks perfect. make sure you buy the right size drill bits and a hole punch. i paid 180.00 spoiler and about 20.00 in materials. hope that helps

Hello - Where did you purchase your spoiler? I know there's an OEM straight from Infiniti and a couple other ones (Kenstyle, etc). Which in your opinion is the best looking one, or do they all look exactly the same?

I'd prefer the stock one but no one seems to be selling them used... I just bought my M45 after Xmas so I'm hessitant to spend more money after spending so much already... All this after I told myself "NO MoRe aFteRmarKeT paRts!" When will I grow out of this stage?? ...NEVER!!

Kenstyle does NOT sell a spoiler for the M. Only the bodykit.

Factory rear trunk lid spoiler uses two bolts(10mm or so) and the rest adhesive. Bolts are in the center half of its span. My dealer put mine on. One end came loose a little and they reinstalled. No pain or headaches. It looks great!

I might suggest they use 4 bolt points or move the two bolts to the ends and adhesive in the middle.

Hi Postal_m35:

I put the same (Woodview.com) spoiler on my 07 M35X and it is lifting on the far front edges, where I would think screws would go if I had screws. Mine was all 3M tape and is holding very well but those edges. Can I screw them down? Any advice or pictures? Does you spoiler have threaded receptacles on the spoiler or did the screws go right into the fiberglass? Thanks,

Mark
